The Center For Italian Studies is a private School of Italian Language, Literature, and Culture located in the Roland Park area in Baltimore. Thanks to a unique teaching methodology, highly qualified faculty members, and the participation of motivated and passionate students, the school has been offering classes of Italian successfully since September 2004. Our non-credit courses of Italian language for adults include all levels, from Elementary to Advanced, as well as courses of Italian Literature, Opera, Art and History of Italian cities, Films, Cuisine and Wines. The Center For Italian Studies has been founded with the idea of spreading the knowledge and the appreciation of the Italian Language and Culture outside the boundaries of the academic institution, at reasonable costs, and in a pleasant atmosphere. Our language classes are small and the Program is designed for people who wish to study Italian balancing the spoken and written language with the study of the grammar structures. Our goal is to build skills for immediate communication helping our students to develop strong Italian language foundations.
A variety of cultural activities and courses are available throughout the year for advanced students who can hold extensive conversation in Italian.
The Center offers also consultation for trips overseas, and organizes Study Trips to Italy during the late Spring/ early Summer months.
A Translation Service is available all year at The Center for Italian Studies for documents, Italian citizenship certifications, literary, medical, and legal material from Italian into English and vice versa.
